She began teaching competitive dance as well at core and fitness classes for both kids and adults. While transitioning from a student dancing 15 plus hours a week into a beginning her career as a teacher herself she was immediately drawn to barre and yoga classes as a adult to help prevent injury as well as continuing her own personal growth. Not only did she want to continue to build strength and flexibility as she grew older she also appreciated how many classes demonstrated vital aspects she learned as a child growing up. Shortly after starting her practice she learned the benefits were much more than physical healing and training and loved finding the mind body connection. Although, Sam's first love is dance she realizes now as an adult even more so how important strength, breathing, and listening to your body is essential to a happier healthier you! Alison McKillip

Alison grew up playing competitive soccer and sports. During college, she was invited to attend a free yoga class on campus that happened to be a mix of vinyasa and yin style movements. This was the first time Alison was invited to move consciously without competing with peers or trying to meet expectations, which is refreshing after years of being coached and challenged to "beat out the rest!" Her early years of yoga practice helped cope with stress and anxiety from being an engineering student and has now evolved to being an adventurous tool to explore self potential and limits, both mindfully and physically. Her classes emphasize body alignment cues to garner a safe, lifelong practice where students build strength and elasticity throughout the journey.

Jenna Little

Jenna was born and raised in eastern North Carolina and moved to Raleigh 2 years ago with her husband and two little girls. Jenna has been active and involved in athletics and movement for as long as she can remember. During college, she realized her passion for nutrition and decided to become a Registered Dietitian. In 2010, Jenna completed her undergraduate studies from East Carolina University and began a distance dietetic internship through Utah State University. In October 2011, she became a Registered Dietitian and in 2013, she completed her Master of Science in Nutrition. Recognizing her passion for equipping others through nutrition and physical activity, she completed her group fitness certification through AFAA in 2014. She taught boot-camp style workouts for moms through a stroller fitness class as well as teaching nutrition education classes. In 2015, yoga entered her life when she was seeking a safe place to connect and go inward. Yoga provided a unique experience in that it connected the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of life. Yoga became a place for healing, creativity, insight, and energetic release in her life. After experiencing the multitude of benefits, she knew she wanted to become a yoga teacher and continued to study the art of connection for her personal practice. In 2016, she began her RYT-200 hour teacher training through Longwave Yoga studio in Wilmington, NC. Victoria Schuch

Victoria Schuch is a recent NC State Grad. Raised in Charlotte, NC, she fell in love with the Raleigh area while pursuing her Fashion Marketing and Brand Management degree and has now been here for 6 years. Growing up Victoria was always involved in gymnastics, dance, cheerleading. She grew up competitively dancing, which is why she was initially drawn to YoBa, because barre and yoga allow her to take what she has known her whole life and use it to guide her through her practice. Having scoliosis surgery at the age of 11, has not stopped her in continuing to push her boundaries and learning to understand your body and it's physical limitations. In high school and throughout college, Victoria loved working at The Little Gym, teaching infants to adolescents everything from how to point their toes to how to do their first cartwheel. Her favorite part was watching them become confident in their skills and in themselves. Currently she is a Marketing Analyst at Fujifilm Medical, Wedding Planner Assistant with Sally Oakley, volunteer at Duke Children's Hospital, and now a YoBa certified barre instructor! Victoria loves to encourage others, and help them grow, whether it be physically or spiritually. She is excited to see what the future holds and join the YoBa community, and hopes her "can-do" attitude will be a light to others.
