March Newsletter

What make YoBa such a special space is you, our community. The coming together of individuals from all walks of life. The coming together of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, ages, and interests to share in the same experience. We are all students coming together to connect, move, breathe, and dig deeper within ourselves each day.

Spending quality time in our YoBa community, while also staying open to new relationships, is what we believe is the secret to a happy, healthy life. One of the most powerful ways to forge more vital, lasting connections: YoBa. Where you show up and you have done enough!

We are here to be a call to “seva”, or selfless service, where we can nurture a sense of humility, gratitude, and respect that positively impacts relationships. When we all show up as our authentic selves, we see that we’re all in this together.

Let's join together more than ever before to be the best example of POSITIVE
community. We SHINE together!

"I loved the sense of community, support, and level of knowledge being delivered."
Peggy Fiorentino

Why would you recommend YTT at YoBa?
"This YTT program was a great balance of physical, spiritual and anatomical information. I felt like my knowledge was well balanced when I completed my training. The structure of a small group that meets often allows participants to form a great sense of community and camaraderie."

YoBa Yoga Fundamentals - Crescent Series

Sunday, March 17th th from 3:00pm - 4:15pm

Designed for students who are new to yoga and for those who are looking to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamental philosophy and foundational poses that yoga is built upon. Combining discussion, demonstration and practice, this will introduce you to yoga practice at a leisurely pace, step-by-step, with more in-depth alignment instruction than you will receive in a regular yoga class. We will dive into yogic breathing techniques and get a taste of the most frequently encountered yoga poses, with an opportunity to ask questions. You'll leave with a better understanding of how to safely practice different postures, and more importantly, learn how to practice poses CORRECTLY which will support your body for years to come. Every month will have a different part of the yoga flow as a focus, this month we will be breaking down a Crescent Series for this  in particular. Held in a NON-HEATED room.

YoBi of the Month - Patrick Lahiff

"My name is Patrick Lahiff and I've been at Yoba pretty much since they opened their doors.  My wife and I have lived in the neighborhood for a long time so the convenience was a huge selling point initially. As I've gotten older I've had a few bouts with back pain, and regular yoga practice alleviates that. Yoga helps keep me limber and I learn something new every class. My favorite thing about practicing is learning to release muscle tension; it has helped me in many ways and is a constant challenge.

As far as the studio is concerned, the space is great. All of the teachers are friendly and bring something unique to the table in terms of how they run their classes, whether it be technical knowledge or their sense of humor. For that reason I enjoy trying out different class times. Yoba seeks input from students on a regular basis and they make changes based on feedback.  The schedule is awesome which makes it possible for me to attend regularly even with a busy  life.

My wife, Jenny and I have two very active children ages 15 and 11. Coincidentally, Paige was my daughter's science teacher last year (favorite teacher :)). One of these days I hope they'll join me for a class. I look forward to meeting more of my fellow classmates."

Late Cancel and No Show Policy Reminder

As a friendly reminder, we ask that you please be courteous to other clients and cancel at least one hour before class when you know you are not able to make it. More than one no-show or late cancel on your account will generate a $8 no-show fee or a loss of a clack in you pack. Thank you so much for your understanding and please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Your personal items miss you! Especially your water bottles. Don't worry we will hold them for a week if you left it on accident. Items not picked up will be donated!
