What to Expect

What should I bring to class?

Please plan to bring a yoga mat, water and towel to class. We do have mats and towels that can be borrowed at the studio in case you forget! We also have water bottles for sale.

What is the studio etiquette like?

Our studio is all about community. We want you to feel welcome here, meet new people, and chat with friends. During class times, we ask that talking is kept to a minimum. Please remember to check in at the front desk, leave cell phones in the lobby, and take shoes off before entering the studio.

What should I wear to class?

Yoga and Barre involve movements of the body so please plan to wear clothing that you are comfortable moving in. Be mindful that all classes are heated so be prepared to sweat! Students are typically barefoot during class.

What type of heat does YoBa Studio offer?

Come feel the difference with our Heating Green (FAR Infrared heating system). You will sweat like never before, increase metabolism, burn fat, lengthen muscles, reduce stress, increase flexibility, and have the best workout. We do offer some Non-Heated classes for those students that prefer to practice without heat. Please see our schedule for the most up-to-date information. 

I'm new to yoga, what class should I take?

We recommend starting with a Slow Flow class that offers a slower pace with lots of instruction. We also offer a Yoga Fundamentals Workshop frequently that offers one-on-one instruction and a deeper dive into basic yoga poses and sequences. Feel free to pull your teacher aside and let them know you are new to yoga so that they are aware and can help you if you need it. We are here for you!

Should I eat before class?

We recommend eating about two hours in advance of class. If you feel like you need to eat a little something before class consider fruits like bananas or apples, nuts, energy bars, etc.
